Original content created for the Tracker may be reused free of charge with attribution. You may not sell it or charge for access to it. Original sources keep their own rights.
Effective 2026-10-12 · Terms version 1.0
What you may reuse
Original text, summaries, interpretations and presentation created by the Pacific El Niño Risk and Action Tracker, to the extent the portal controls the relevant rights. Third-party documents, quotations, datasets, photographs, logos, software and user contributions are excluded unless expressly stated otherwise.
Free use with attribution
You may use, quote, copy, share, translate and adapt covered portal-authored content without a licence fee, including in reports, humanitarian analysis, education and freely accessible dashboards or API integrations, provided the conditions below are met.
How to credit the portal
Credit the Pacific El Niño Risk and Action Tracker, link to https://elnino.drr.sh/, retain the original source credits and links, and state the data or report version and access date. Identify translations, adaptations and your own analysis; do not imply endorsement.
No sale or paid access
Do not sell or resell covered portal-authored content, charge others to access or receive it, or place it behind a paid data feed or paywall. Republishing it must remain free to recipients. These conditions do not claim exclusive rights over underlying facts or restrict rights independently granted by the original source or applicable law.
Original sources and third-party rights
Third-party material retains its own terms. A source link, quotation, preview, portal attribution or API key does not grant a blanket right to reproduce the original document, dataset or image. Follow any recorded source-specific permission; where rights are unclear, link to the original and seek clarification before reproducing protected material.
Accuracy and responsibility
This is a public beta under active development. Information, source matching, translations, AI-assisted answers and analyses may contain errors or omissions. Information is provided as is, without a guarantee of accuracy, completeness, timeliness or fitness for a particular purpose. Forecasts are uncertain. The portal does not warrant the correctness of original third-party reports or endorse their conclusions. To the extent permitted by applicable law, liability is excluded for errors, omissions and loss arising from use of the portal, its analyses or linked and reproduced third-party material. This limitation does not exclude responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Use in decisions and no endorsement
Check original sources and current national warnings before operational decisions. Do not rely on this beta as the sole basis for emergency, safety-critical or funding decisions. Suggested actions do not establish government approval, available funding or implementation. Portal interpretations and user adaptations must not be presented as official positions of a government or source organization unless expressly identified as such.
Scope of these terms
These are portal-specific reuse terms, not a Creative Commons licence. They apply only within the scope stated above. Separate source licences and mandatory legal rights remain unaffected.
